Matthew Leach first broke the story at the Cardinals’ website and on his blog, and it looks like Ron Villone could be a valuabe asset to the Cards.  Expect to him to find his way to the pen this year.  If not at first, I feel confident he’ll see some time coming out of the bullpen in 2008.  He really does add to the depth of the Cards’ relievers, and I think this is a good pickup.
